1. Request deletion
You can ask us to delete your Everjoy account and the personal information attached to it. There are three ways to do it, and they all reach the same place.
Checking your account…
Sign in to delete your account
Signing in confirms the account is yours. It takes a moment and you can cancel at any point in the next 30 days.
Sign in to continueNo longer able to sign in? Email info@everjoy.ca from the address on the account and we will handle it for you.
Delete this account
This starts a 30 day countdown. Your listings come down right away and you can cancel any time before the 30 days are up.
Changed your mind? Just close this page. Nothing happens until you press the button.
Deletion is scheduled
Until then your account still exists and you can bring it back with one click.
Request received
We have emailed a confirmation. If you change your mind, sign in and come back to this page before that date.
Something went wrong
We could not reach your account details just now.
Still stuck? Email info@everjoy.ca and we will do it manually.
From the mobile app
Open the Everjoy app, go to Profile, then Settings, then Delete account. The app walks you through the same steps as this page.
By email
Email info@everjoy.ca from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We respond to all privacy requests within thirty (30) days, as set out in our Privacy Policy.
2. What gets deleted
When the deletion completes, we permanently remove:
- Your login, email address and password
- Your name, phone number, city, address and profile photo
- Your saved items, event preferences and notification settings
- Your inquiries, messages and message attachments
- Your reviews, drafts and uploaded photos
- Your device push tokens, so notifications stop immediately
If you run a business on Everjoy, your business profile, listings, deals and inspirations come down as well. See section 5.
3. What we have to keep
Canadian tax and accounting law requires us to retain certain records even after an account is deleted. These are kept in a form that is no longer linked to your profile, and they are never used to market to you:
- Booking and transaction records, including invoices and payout records, for a minimum of seven (7) years, as stated in section 4 of our Privacy Policy
- Records we are required to keep to resolve a dispute, enforce our agreements, or comply with a legal obligation
- Anonymized and aggregated statistics that cannot identify you
Payment card details are never stored on Everjoy's own systems. They are held by Stripe, our payment processor, under their own retention policy.
4. How long it takes
- Immediately. Your listings are taken down, your business is removed from the marketplace, and any active subscription is cancelled.
- For 30 days. Your account is held in a pending state. Sign in and return to this page to cancel the deletion and keep everything.
- After 30 days. The account and the data listed in section 2 are permanently purged. This cannot be undone.
5. If you run a business
Deleting your account closes your business on Everjoy too. Before you can do that, any upcoming bookings have to be resolved, so that no client is left with an event and no vendor.
If you only want to close the business and keep your personal Everjoy account, use Partner → Settings → Close business instead. That leaves your login and client profile untouched.
Reviews left by clients stay attached to the business record, without your personal details, so the marketplace history stays honest.
